Kathie's deposition

I'm working and reading and working and reading and there was one page in particular I wanted to share because I'm always hearing that I have no proof. This is from Kathie Briggs' deposition in July of 2009.

  1. I have to say that reading this was sad. Again as a Grandparent I would have continued to fight with my last dying breath. I would not have cared what ANYBODY was reporting or saying,my Grandchild would ultimately come before my pride.
My daughters know that ABOVE all, I would fight them HARD if I had too.

I do know that Lance and Kathie were not there the day Kelsey was killed,as KP supporters like to remind us, but do they not hold themselves accountable somewhere on that fine line?

I am in no way being sarcastic or mean (as it has been said I am), I am just constantly saddened as I still to this day learn more and more. I feel as if this beautiful baby didn't have a chance from the beginning. It's a very sad day when children have to live in such anger and hate.

Thank you for posting that as more clarity and truth has been brought forth.

Stay Blessed my friend and always in the Light.

  2. What bothers me is the way the public has been lied to in order to secure hate for Raye and her family. I could discuss a hundred what if's that could have saved Kelsey but she's gone. It's time that people accept that and let her rest in peace. I don't agree with a deceased child's picture being plastered everywhere. I have a real problem with that. She was used as a weapon in life and she's being exploited in death. It's so sad! The picture that everyone likes so much with Lance in his fatigues and Kelsey's elbows on his knees--he admitted that he wasn't going to work or home from work. He was at his mom's house and he dressed in the fatigues so she could take pictures. (She's a photographer) The pictures at the cemetery were after Kelsey's death. He was no longer in the service and had been out of the service since October and the pictures were at Christmas. They cleaned off Kelsey's grave and put that wreath there and his mom took pictures of him for the media. His own sister stated that he was probably sent to war to give Kelsey's story a twist for the media. Why was it so important to craft a story for the media if the truth would have convicted Raye Dawn? Why use lies and deception and twists to get a conviction and allow Mike Porter to get away with his crimes?

Sorry, I'm venting today. Have a blessed day Ginger!

  3. Vent away. There are days that I try so hard to understand the why behind all of this. I have had to walk away from this many times over the last fe years. It saddens my heart and makes my soul very heavy. You are a special women to stay this strong Jody and I am proud to call you my friend.

Love and Light and special prayers for you.

  4. Thank you Ginger. Same to you. I've had to walk too and still want to walk on some days but if we walk, then we don't give hope to those who are supporting Raye, and eventually, all of her support will be gone. So when I get tired, I call a supporter or family member and without even saying "I'm tired" they help me regain my strength. (By the way, I may need your number Ginger. LOL!)

Many blessings to you, my friend.
